Residents of Rabguda village in Koraput are boycotting elections due to lack of basic amenities like a bridge over the Kalyani river, electricity, and water scarcity. The villagers are demanding essential services for healthcare and education.
CPI (Maoist) have issued calls to boycott the Lok Sabha elections by putting up posters across different sites in the Gomia block, demanding release of political prisoners and withdrawal of police camps from rural areas. The posters were removed on Saturday morning. Bokaro SP Pujya Prakash stated that an investigation is underway to identify those responsible for the act. The posters have been removed.
