Driven Engineering, a subcontractor with a significant focus on Formula 1, has diversified its portfolio with an investment in cutting-edge metrology technology from LK Metrology. The company's new Altera C 10.7.7 Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) has not only increased its workload in the F1 sector but also improved its component inspection capabilities for aerospace, automotive, and general engineering projects.

Instead of having to inspect large components in two steps, GT Tooling invested in a portable arm with a reach of two metres. The Freedom arm from LK Metrology provides accurate results when the company is measuring dimensions to general drawing tolerances of ± 0.1 mm and accelerates the inspection process at the same time.
