White’s Ferry Shutting Down In NoVa (Loudoun County)- White’s Ferry is shutting down their Potomac River operation after 234 years. Ferry operators announced the decision citing a Loudoun court ruling banning boats from landing. The company had been sued by Rockland Farm, LLC over the public landing issue. White’s Ferry will keep their store and grill open. Poolesville, Maryland officials say they are trying to see if they can keep the ferry going.
