MONROVIA Recent report from the United States Coast Guard announced that it was removing the conditions of entry on vessels arriving in the country from the West African Nation of Liberia into US waters, which had been in place since May 2, 2005 due to the fact that the country had been found to be one of the countries not maintaining effective counter-terrorism measures at its Ports. However, according to the report from the US Coast Guard, recent assessments conducted in 2018 by their organization helped determine that Liberia was actively working on maintaining effective anti-terrorism measures in it’s Maritime operations.

According to report, the Coast Guard of the United States America has announced in its Federal Register that it is removing the conditions of entry on vessels arriving from the Republic of Liberia to the United States.
The U.S. Coast Guard said it is determined that the Republic of Liberia is now maintaining effective anti-terrorism measure in its reports, and has issued report that Liberia is removed from the list of the countries affected in paragraph ‘B’ of the Port Security Advisory.
