The Algarve International Circuit, often referred to as simply Portimao, is a newcomer to the Formula 1 calendar as the track held its first Grand Prix last year. Before that, the track was primarily used for pre-season training. Portimao has 16 turns, a circuit length of 2.81 miles and drivers will complete 66 laps before finishing the 190-mile race. While Valtteri Bottas won last year s Portuguese Grand Prix with a time of one hour and 18 minutes, Lewis Hamilton currently holds the best lap record at Portimao with a time of one minute and eighteen seconds.

Spectators will be able to attend the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix when the social highlight of the Formula 1 calendar returns on 20-23 May after missing a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Mediterranean principality confirmed on Tuesday that grandstands would be at 40% capacity, with up to 7,500 ticket holders a day.
The sport’s oldest and most glamorous street race was not held in 2020, the first time it had been absent from the calendar since 1954.
The event will not be restricted to locals but those attending from outside Monaco will have to take a test for COVID-19 no more than 72 hours in advance.
Haas promise better comms after Mazepin incident

Guenther Steiner says Haas will improve their radio messages to their drivers when they’re about to be lapped, after Nikita Mazepin’s near-miss on Sunday.
The team principal made the promise after the Russian driver almost collided with Red Bull’s Sergio Perez, when the Mexican came up to lap the Haas in the Portuguese Grand Prix.
An accident between the two could have scuppered Perez’s eventual P4 finish at Portimao, leading to potential ramifications in the Constructors’ Championship.
A five-second penalty for Mazepin was administered as a result, but this proved to be immaterial as the Russian was well behind the rest of the field by that point regardless.
