The groundwater level in Noida and Greater Noida has experienced a significant drop of 9.9m and 2.8m respectively in the past 6 years. Limited rainfall and recharge are the main factors contributing to this alarming depletion rate. Urgent measures need to be taken to recharge the groundwater table and prevent illegal extraction.
