Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) is addressing the critical shortage of healthcare professionals in the region, especially in small rural communities. Subject to approval by the South Dakota Board of Nursing, WDTC plans to launch a Practical Nursing Program in Hot Springs. The program, slated to commence in the Fall 2024 semester, will be based at the South Dakota State Veterans Home in Hot Springs.
