Seven cases of COVID-19 were reported in Prairie Mountain Health on Thursday, the biggest number of cases since the 11 reported on March 24.
Two deaths were reported, both women in their 40s. One was from the Northern health region and the other from Southern Health-Santé Sud.
A total of 937 people have died in Manitoba from COVID-19.
In total, 59 new cases of COVID-19 were identified in Manitoba, though seven cases were removed due to a data correction making for an net increase of 52 cases.

The provincial government recorded 49 new COVID-19 cases in Prairie Mountain Health on Tuesday, which represents the region’s biggest single-day increase since the summer.

The individual was at school while potentially infectious on Dec. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 14.
Contact tracing is underway, but the exposure is considered low-risk and the case is not believed to have been acquired at school.
Everyone at the school is advised to self-monitor for symptoms until Dec. 28.
