NEW DELHI: The Election Commission, acting on a report from the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) pointing to prima facie role of public/government servants in unauthorised and unaccounted cash transactions in Madhya Pradesh during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, has directed the state chief electoral officer to lodge a criminal case against 3 IPS officers and one officer of the state police, for violations of extant electoral and other laws .
