L&T Technology Services Limited, a global leading pure-play engineering services company, today announced that it has agreed to acquire the Smart World & Communication Business of L&T.
Prayagraj: Soon, the 60,000 odd street lights of Sangam city would switch on and off at the same moment. To turn this idea into a reality, the authorities are all set to install a light-based group controller following which the lights would be switched on and off automatically at the same time.
As part of the Prayagraj Smart City project, all the street lights, installed at the main roads, dividers and by-lanes of different localities of the city, would be controlled by these smart sensors and their monitoring system would be connected to the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at Prayagraj Mela Authority office. The important change in the operation of these street lights to their smarter versions will reduce power wastage and authorities would be able to save up to Rs 5 crore of yearly expenditure. Prayagraj: The Sangam city is all set to witness several developmental works aimed to make the city look more beautiful and to provide amenities for the common man. Being carried out under the Smart City project, authorities have identified nine works will on which an amount of Rs 35 crores would be incurred.
Foremost among the developmental works would be revamping the facilities at Madan Mohan Malaviya Stadium and renovation of the pond located at Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Park of the city.
Prayagraj Smart City Limited has issued a tender of Rs 35 crores for these two works along with seven other works. Following the revamping of the facilities at Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium, an amount of Rs 76.86 lakhs is expected to be spent. This amount would be spent on the repair of the stadium s infrastructure and procurement of several sports equipment.
