Justice. he believes he was fired under a pre-text by them and compromised. he could have turned around and given the memos to the committees in congress, but these committees have so much in-fighting that they look like an episode of "real housewives of d.c." instead of bipartisan committee. if he wants this to get out in the public, i think that he was left in his mind with having to do it through a third party. as a private citizen, he could do that. it is not illegal. there was no privileged...

Just within the course of the week. he had his proxy and surrogates go out and layout a pre-text for why he fired comey that turned out to be completely false. the next day, the president acknowledged it was false. we really cant believe what the president says on this. you know, to have him now potentially in dispute over what happened with his version and director comeys, i think most of the country will not believe the presidents account. this is why any other evidence is so important whether...

To the iraq war in 2003. sort of the pre-text for an invasion on terms that did not turn out to be, as claimed, also, this continued sense from moscow, the russian government suggesting that the united states is presenti ining eviden that it was a syrian chemical weapons attack and that evidence might not be sound. >> indeed, were waiting for u.s. secretary of state, rex tillerson as he has just arrived in moscow, after these very pointed comments that he made at the g-7 summit in italy. were go...

Against the norms of international law. under a far fetched pre-text. there was no chemical weapons strike carried out by the syrian military against the area in southern idlib province. it was a regular air strikes. against the storage facility in which rebels were keeping their chemical munitions. thats what caused the horrific loss of life. thats the version of events the russians are sticking to. the kremlin saying the syrian army has no chemical weapons. there has been action taken, though,...

Supposed to take seriously versus what he said as the president. were saying entire context matters. courts out to look at that. >> one thing that i thought was interesting that was in your filing, the government wanted to make the case, look, this isnt pretextural, were not reversing this around a muslim ban to pass muster and cabinet secretaries, the attorney general and secretary of dhs wrote a letter to the president to urge him to solve this urgent problem and you note that the government r...

For the secretary of dhs, the letter is dated march 6, the day the revised order was announced and purpose ports to propose the policy embodying the order, "it is hard to imagine clear evidence of pre-text." >> when we were researching this case, one of the things i learned is that theres an executive order on executive orders. theres one that tells people this is how an executive order comes about. it starts off with agencies that gather data and make a recommendation and then eventually it get...

Been restricted and they are following the judges order. the appeals court has to weigh in. theres a long process. i think the problem that donald trump is creating for himself is a political one. by tweeting the so-called judge and by criticizing the judici y judiciary, hes raising the bar. hes making it more difficult for a very credible nominee to the supreme court in his confirmation hearing. youll have another pre-text, not just merrick garland for democrats to challenge this nominee on eve...

I think things come and go, but i dont think that anybody should misunderstand what motivated the riots and terrorist attacks against our ambassador to libya, is a religious ideology, that is making political extremes. and its an easy logical jump from that religious extreme sichl to cases for america, which is a very different kind of society and this particular film was little more than a pre-text. it was something that in skillful hands can be used in propaganda purposes just like the famous ...

Had, pre-text. the pre-text was outrageous. its ridiculous and out of control. i cant imagine what i would be charged with. >> tucker: do you know after all of this, what exactly the suspected crime was? you were the subject of a fisa warrant. the federal government turning its surveillance powers on you. we have a whole court system to keep that being abused. why would the federal government want to read your emails and spy on you. what did they think you were doing? >> as we learned with the f...
