Our CorrespondentKohima, Aug. 20 (EMN): Advocate of Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, Zhekheli Zhimomi, stated that many student union leaders at present are ‘enticed’ by money and lead their associations in a ‘factional manner’. She stated this while addressing the students as the guest speaker during the 30th fresher’s day of Mount Olive College Kohima (MOCK) on Saturday. Zhimomi reiterated that the way many lead their unions was “misleading” because of selfish motives. “You are our tomorrow,” she said, adding that students should embrace the system at the level of the government, politically, socially and economically with honesty while asserting that there is “rampant corruption” in the state. She expressed sadness to note that the present younger generation of becoming “uncultured” and disrespectful to parents, elders or teachers.
