Preliminary details, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, are the man got in his car "set to go to work" when he was shot several times. Responding officers found his body in the driver's seat.
It happened about 7:30 a.m. Thursday in the 2400 block of Ketchum, near Airways Blvd.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. Memphis Police are investigating after they said a man was shot during a carjacking.
It happened about 7:30 a.m. Thursday in the 2400 block of Ketchum, near Airways Blvd.
Police said they found one man who had been shot during a carjacking. He was taken to Regional One in critical condition.
Police have not released any information on suspects.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Police Department says a man is in the hospital after he was allegedly shot during a carjacking Thursday morning.
Officers are on the scene of a shooting at 2447 Ketchum. Preliminary Info: one male was shot during a carjacking. He was xported to ROH in critical condition.
