Finding things for kids to do during the summer can be hard on Central Texas families, and the Armed Services YMCA is trying to provide local military families with summer camp options.
Albany Area Schools also said, in a post to Facebook, that the closure was in part due to "a significant number of staff and student COVID related absences."

The City of Rohnert Park and Cotati offers a range of summer camps for kids to enjoy their summers while keeping them safe. Campers will make the best memories while also following COVID protocols. Active planning is considered to maintain social distancing, active cleaning, daily health screenings and established camp groups.
Cindy Bagley, the Deputy Director of Community Service for the City of Rohnert Park, and Brianna Montelongo, the Program Coordinator of Rohnert Park summer camps, mention how essential summer camps are for the community and how happy they are to see campers having fun. “I believe camps allow for a safe and fun place for children to meet new peers, allow a fun environment for them, socialize, learn new games, motor skills, everything, it just provides this really fun atmosphere,” states Montelongo.
