Edmonton’s newly minted Pride Corner is the culmination of over a year of work by queer activists and allies - and all those who came before them.

After a year of community members countering hateful messaging through demonstrations of inclusivity and dance parties, the City of Edmonton officially recognized Pride Corner on Whyte.

Local demonstrators received official recognition from the City of Edmonton for a year-long effort that protested against hateful messages.
