Pride Live will Livestream the groundbreaking ceremony of the first LGBTQ+ visitor center at a National Monument today at 10:30 a.m.

The Stonewall National Monument was the first U.S. national monument dedicated to LGBTQ history. A ceremonial groundbreaking was held Friday for a visitor center to be built there.

A building adjacent to the legendary Stonewall Inn is slated to become a visitor center operated by the National Park Service.

A visitor centre is set to open next door to The Stonewall Inn to celebrate LGBTQ+ history including the 1969 Stonewall Riots.
