PITTSBURGH – An inmate worker at Fayette County Prison who was injured during a scheduled assignment and said prison officials both hid the extent of his injuries and subjected him to inhumane living conditions during his time of incarceration, has settled his case.
The Board of Carroll County Commissioners unanimously approved a grant for $150,122.11, which allows the detention center to have additional nurses to administer the medication-assisted treatment program at the detention center.

HARRISBURG – Dauphin County and the warden of its prison have denied claims brought by the nephew of a man who suffered fatal injuries while incarcerated there in a lawsuit against the county, a health care company and more than three dozen corrections officers and medical providers, holding them responsible for his death.
