Tetu MP Geoffrey Wandeto has opined that the halt of the planned sale of State corporations by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is premature.

The order was issued by a Nairobi high court on Monday following a petition filed by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, which through its advocate argued that the privatization act was unconstitutional as it was not subjected to public participation.

The court ordered the sale to be halted pending hearing of a petition filed by ODM party.

This follows a court case filed by the ODM Party.

The bill proposes that all involved in the animal feed value chain shall incur a fine of Ksh. 20,000 or a jail term of up to six months if found flouting the laid down regulatory framework.
