Coming off its best season of harness racing last year with an impressive 40 per cent increase in total handle wagering over 2022, Hippodrome 3R (3R) in Quebec is ready to kick off the 2024 season on Sunday, May 5.
Sunday night (March 31) saw a pair of trainers take the lion's share of the 11-race Rideau card, with reigning leading trainer Mandy Archer and Marc-Andre Simoneau each with training triples.
Trainer Marc-Andre Simoneau harnessed two winners at Hippodrome 3R on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 22 and tied David Pilon at 29 wins each atop the trainer standings. There are only two days of racing left for the 3R race meet in 2023.
