February 8, 2021 Burlington, Ia- Authorities have announced the arrest of a Burlington man on drug possession charges. According to a news release, on Friday, February 5th the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force, Burlington Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, and the Burlington Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit (POP) executed a search warrant on a residence in the 900 block. of North 8th Street. The search warrant was being executed in reference to a subject who was trafficking large quantities of narcotics in the greater Burlington area. 47-year-old Milton Cleon Davis of Burlington (above) was arrested on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Two counts of Drug Tax Stamp Violation, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Burlington man arrested for suspected heroin and marijuana A Burlington man was arrested after authorities found multiple drugs on a search warrant. Milton Cleon Davis, 47, was arrested Friday when members of the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force and Burlington Police Department s Problem Oriented Policing Unit (POP) found drugs at a home in the 900 block of North Eighth Street, according to a media release issued by Burlington Police Lt. Wayne Thomson, Criminal Investigations Division. The warrant was executed in reference to a subject who was trafficking large quantities of narcotics in the Burlington area. Davis is charged with possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, two counts of delivery of heroin, two counts of a drug tax stamp violation, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Burlington woman arrested following Friday Shooting

January 11, 2021 Burlington, Ia- The Burlington Police Department made the arrest of a Burlington woman Friday, January 8th, in connection with an afternoon shooting. On Friday January 8th, 2021 at approximately 1:26 pm the Burlington Police Department responded to a residence in the 1500 block of North 9th Street regarding a report of shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers learned an individual had sustained a gunshot wound. A Burlington Fire Department Ambulance crew responded to the scene and transported the individual to Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. The injury is believed to be non-life-threatening. Detectives from the Burlington Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit and Criminal Investigation Division responded and began investigating the shooting. During the investigation, detectives identified a suspect.
