the political fallout. the way i look at it is they are draining the swamp. the democrats head the ethics committee. they were elected to clean out their own party, frankly. this did not happen under republican leadership. i have to give some of the democrats credit for moving forward with an investigation rather than doing what the republicans did and bury their problem problems. david is right. i would have to disagree with your intention. the facts that we re talking about the investigations, trials, even, of two high-profile democrats speaks to the ethics committee. when the republicans were in charge, no one had heard offing mark foley, the congressman from florida. but that case there gave the democrats the hammer they needed to show that it was time for a change in leadership, and a time to drain the swamp corruption.
