OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Current Florida State softball players Kathryn Sandercock and Mack Leonard each heard their name called on Monday night at the Women's Professional Fastpitch Draft in Oklahoma City, Okla. Sandercock was drafted with the second pick in the second round and sixth overall by the Texas Smoke which is based in Austin, Texas. Leonard was also drafted by the Texas Smoke with the 18th overall pick in the fifth round. Sandercock currently holds a 93-11 career record at Florida State and holds a 1.48 career ERA in the Garnet and Gold. Sandercock is a three-time All-American and a two-time All-ACC selection. In 2022, Sandercock was named a top 25 finalist for the 2022 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. In 2021, Sandercock was named the Women's College World Series All-Tournament Team as she helped the Seminoles to a National Runner-Up finish. Sandercock will leave Tallahassee with her name all over the record back as she is currently the school record
