Date Time American Chemical Society announces organizational changes The American Chemical Society (ACS) announced a reorganization to better serve its membership, employees and the broader chemistry enterprise. Rajendrani Mukhopadhyay, Ph.D., to lead new Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Respect Rajendrani Mukhopadhyay, Ph.D., was promoted to Vice President, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Respect (DEIR) and will lead the new ACS Office of DEIR. She will report to ACS CEO Thomas Connelly Jr., Ph.D. Creation of this new office will support DEIR efforts across ACS – supporting both internal and external activities. The existing Department of Diversity Programs will become part of the new ACS Office of DEIR.

LIBERIA: CEMESP Ends fact-check Workshops for Journalists LIBERIA: CEMESP Ends fact-check Workshops for Journalists The Center for Media Studies and Peacebuilding has concluded a day fact-checking workshop for journalists on COVID-19 Fake News in Monrovia. With support from the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Monrovia, under the project “Building the Capacity of Journalists to stand above COVID 19 fake News Dissemination”, the workshop was the third and final training for Liberian Journalists aimed at curtailing fake news around COVID-19. The First workshop was held in Ganta , Nimba county with 20 community radio journalists from Nimba and Bong counties which was followed by a second training workshop in Buchanan city, that also brought together 20 community radio journalists from Grand Bassa and Margibi counties.
