Americans are receiving stimulus payments from the federal government for those who havent, you are able to track the status on a new website created by the irs. Cristina rendon shows us how it works. Reporter millions of americans are checking their Bank Accounts for direct deposit on the federal government. It will help to pay off some of the bills, you know, it is not enough. The irs launched a new feature on their website wednesday called get my payment. It allows taxpayers to file their returns for 2018 or 2019 to input their Bank Information to receive the payment by direct deposit. You can also check the status of your payment. Many say they are receiving messages like this one, payment status not available. The irs said the site is operating at record volumes. Physical checks are expected to be sent out to the end of the month. I do understand its not delaying anything and im satisfied with that. I dont imagine its a big deal.
