Has scored a touchdown with our weather. A slow, easy comfortable warming trend rolls along. After a high of 61 saturday, were looking for at least the mid 60s today, with some neighborhoods knocking on the door of 70 this afternoon. Well add a degree or two to the high for next few days so that by wednesday well be near the record high of 74. After that well drop back just a couple of degrees but still stay upwards of 10 degrees above normal for this time of year. Overnight lows will also climb to well abovenormal, reaching close to 50 by next saturday. One of the only question marks is cloud cover. Its for sure going to be mostly sunny until later wednesday when a weather system now well off Southern Nevada theres no rain in the 7 day forecast . For folks heading to lake mead, the National Weather service has a lake now near eastern and tropicana. Details are still coming into the newsroom at this hour. Officers tell us a man was shot and taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
They tell me the celebrations are welcome but they ask that you do so responsibly.
