Chip and cloud expert Rani Borkar is now a member of Applied BoD
The leading semiconductor equipment supplier Applied Materials has added chip-design and cloud computing expert Rani Borkar to its Board of Directors effective Dec. 14. Rani Borkar held responsible tech positions at IBM and Intel. Now she currently holds the position of Corporate Vice President, Azure Hardware Systems and Infrastructure at Microsoft. Before Rani left Intel where she had worked for 27 years, she held corporate vice president and general manager position of the product development group heading processor and SOC development.
