Albums overshadowed by alcohol abuse and stints in rehab. Reporter Mindy Mccready started her rise to stardom in 1996 with her debut album 10,000 angels which would go on to earn multiplatinum status. In the years that followed she would release a total of four more albums, charting 12 songs on the billboard country singles chart. From the first rapid climb to fame it would be more her private life that droeft headlines. The embattled singer had multiple stays in rehab facilities and multiple runins with the law through much of the 2000s, including a charge of driving under the influence, using fake prescriptions, battery, and violating probation. And recently following the death of her music producer david wilson in january, mccready was involuntarily admitted to an inpatient treatment facility. A day later the troubled celebrity was released to outpatient treatment. In the last interview with nbcs andrea canning, the singer spoke of how wilsons death had affected her. He was my life.

That huge wildfire burning in Central California is growing virtually unchecked tonight as its impact is being felt more than 100 miles away. Far from the firefight, the city of San Francisco is under a state of emergency tonight because its water supply and hydroelectric power come from a reservoir near the fire zone. 2,700 firefighters are now on the lines backed by a relentless air assault, but working again to rugged landscape and exhaustion. There are reports of a 20foot wall of water caused by a years worth of rain in one day. Even weather experts calling it biblical. As you see here whole towns have been cut off by the floods. Drivers have been stranded, rescuers working hard to save them. Abcs Clayton Sandell is right there. Reporter the rain is still pouring tonight. Right behind me you can see a couple of houses. This used to be their front yard. Right now its nothing but a raging river. Thousands of gallons every minute carrying tons of dangerous debris. Every house on this street suddenly has new riverfront property. This new shore line stretches another ten blocks. The rain tonight is relentless, a nonstop soaking stretching up and down colorados rocky mountains. By 6 00 this morning enough to suddenly wipe away this road. Protest, take back up the fight if the new government in kiev doesnt live up to its promises. Everywhere you go in Independence Square you run across these basically handmade metal shields. These were used by protesters to try to protect themselves against snipers and reniot poli. They have holes in them that they could look through holes to see whats in front of them. Not all shields were made out of metal. Protesters were trying to utilize everything they could get their hands on. This is a wooden shield which obviously would not stop a snipers bullet. You can see the handmade handles on it that people would use to try to protect themselves or at least hide behind as best they could. When you get up close to this barricade, you get a sense of just the size of it. The sheer size of it. Its made out of metal fencing. Theres tires in there. Theres steel rods. Theres pieces of wood, corrugated tin. Whatever they would find they would try to use to protect themselves. And then protesters

The plane had been found but that does not, repeat does not appear to be the case. Just moments ago, we spoke by phone with a major from the Jamaican Defense force. Give us the latest in the search efforts. Like you said, the latest information i have, is we spotted an oil slick in the vicinity where we suspect the aircraft went down about 14 miles. An oil slick. Any debris of any kind . The information i have, which was up to about 5 00 p. M. , oil slick. The situation may have changed but unfortunately, i dont have that update. An oil slick. Are you confident this oil slick is connected to this plane . Were fairly confident, yes, sir. Were fairly confidenconfident. In fact, we have a search and rescue dive team now trying to carry out the well, at this point were not even sure if its going to be a rescue operation anymore, more like a recovery operation based on the length of time that the aircraft would have gone down.
