Visiting the site of the worlds first atomic attack. Those who died and its after math. Their souls speak to us. They ask us to look inward, of who we are and what we may become. Good everyone, i am Andrea Mitchell, in washington. A rough week forefront runner clinton. As Bernie Sanders tried to steal the light with the possible debate stage with donald trump. Clinton is trying to turn the page from her email controversy. This report makes clear that personal email use was the practice for other secretaries of state. This report says that you had an obligation using your personal email and you did not. Was it an error of judgment . Well, it was allowed and the rules have been clarified since i left about the practice. Now, joining me now is Kristin Welker in california covering the clinton campaign. Kristin first to you, another day and shes trying to rally voters behind her as she faces increasingly a close race with Bernie Sanders. Thats right, andrea, she added an event here in oakl
Deadliest hot air balloon crash ever in the United States. I know its early hours now but are they saying why it went down . Theres been no official cause made. Thats a ruling that will be made by ntsb investigators as they begin arriving on the scene and beginning their investigation essentially as a official for that organization said a while ago, treating this almost as a crime scene. As they photograph and collect evidence there from the scene. Thats an extensive process. However, we are hearing from a Law Enforcement source here in texas saying that if you look close at the pictures in the video image, youll see a long line of power lines in that area. That perhaps it appears at this point that the balloon made contact with those power lines igniting the fire there before it crashed to the ground. Obviously those power lines will play a significant role and big part of this investigation trying to figure out exactly how this hot air balloon might have come in contact with those li
Same state, different party. Democratic primary, too close to call in indiana. Looks like its going to be for a while as the two candidates, sanders vaguely in the lead, separated by just under 9,000 votes. Weve had a lot of news in this past hour. And weve heard from among other people the Kasich Campaign. Thats right. The Kasich Campaign put out a statement tonight. They came in a distant third place tonight in indiana. And that is partly where john kasich is used to being in this campaign. He did have a special relationship with the state of indiana, though in that he and ted cruz made kind of a nonaggression pact. Cruz said that kasich would be given a free hand to run in the states of oregon and new mexico. And in turn, kasich would basically clear out of indiana and make room for cruz and trump to go one on one in that state. And the deal was probably a bad idea. Most respondents in the nbc news poll said that they didnt like the idea of that kind of a deal. But voters in indiana
Reporter yeah. It absolutely does, anderson and mike pence releasing ten years of his tax returns and showing frankly, relatively modest numbers. These are not sevenfigure salaries that were talking about here. The pences had a tax rate of 8 and earned 113,000 and this puts the spotlight back on donald trump and his refusal to release his own tax returns and hes said that because theyre under audit and that argument has been weakened by a letter released by his tax council who has said that between the year 2002 and 2008 that they are not under audit anymore so meaning essentially that they could be released. The Clinton Campaign already picking up on this tonight, drawing that contrast between the running mate saying that donald trump continues to make excuses not to release his. Trump spoke earlier today is the Voter Value Summit in washington. What was the message there . This is a group of Evangelical Christian conservatives and donald trump did his best to try to appeal to this gr
Trumps travel ban. Bob ferguson saying, no one is above the law. Not even the president. That follows a week of protests at airports and across the country. But tonights ruling throws the nations immigration system into chaos once again. What will happen now . Got to figure it out for you. Lets discuss with rene hamarsh and jessica snyder. All a Alan Dershowitz. What does it mean . The judges order, is a national order, saying you have to have uniformity in the way immigration laws apply. It will apply equally to the west coast and the east coast. Kennedy airport to l. A. X. It is very broad. It goes through provisions of the executive order. And it says im staying this and staying that. In my view, i think its overbroad. It concludes at least that there is a plausible argument of unconstitutionality in relation, not only to people who are in the country, not only to people who already have visas, but perhaps, as well, to people have havent gotten visas from syria and other countries.
