US-Regisseur Quentin Tarantino (58, „Once Upon a Time in Hollywood“) hat in Los Angeles ein weiteres Kino erworben. Mit dem Ankauf des New Beverly Cinema hatte der Oscar-Preisträger schon 2007 ein kleines Familienkino vor dem Untergang bewahrt.

„Es ist für alle ein Win-Win-Deal“, sagte der bisherige Besitzer Lance Alspaugh gestern der „Los Angeles Times“. Als „ikonischer Filmemacher“ sei Tarantino der perfekte Käufer. Der Preis für die Übernahme wurde nicht bekannt.
