reporting tonight that the nsa knew about the heart bleed security flaw for at least two years but kept it secret to gather intelligence. top intelligence officials say today that they knew nothing about the bug. this internet flaw has sent the web spinning. a german programmer has taken responsibility for an unintended ininternet bug. heart bleed affects encryption technology that s designed to protect your sensitive data on the internet, like passwords, emails, and credit card numbers. consumers should be concerned. this is one of the nastiest security vulnerabilities in a long time. we used to see these things on a monthly basis, in the last five, ten years, we ve not seen ones this bag. the programming mistake is every user is likely affected.
