Reporter good morning, laura. It will be up to the california Highway Patrol to figure out what caused one of medina tour buses based on seventh street, caused one of their bus toes go up in flames. This happened around 9 40 last night. This bus was headed northbound on 880 at the exit when it had to pull over and you can see what happened. The video shows how severe this fire was. It started in the back. Possibly in the engine and started to move forward. It incinerated about a third of the bus before the Fire Department was able to put it out. Kris, whats going on out there . Good morning, sam and laura. Ill start with saying the Police Officer i talked to said this could have been much worse. Never know whats going to happen when you talk about a gas line leak. They said they could hear the hissing coming from that gas line where that car is you see in the distance. As soon as nay arrived on scene, they kept people about 400 feet out. Only one house was evacuated of its residents for precautionary measures. What you see the officers doing is trying to get clues out of that car. Thats the car that slammed into the gas line. Right now it is unoccupied. The driver of the car is not here on the scene. I did ask the Police Officer if it is registered as a stolen car. That officer said no. Pg e is also on the scene. Apparently it was hit in just the right way, that gas line, that they were able to swish the gas off immediately. There was no imminent danger to the public or the folks nearby.
