Nine people were rescued from a Fort Bend County group home Friday morning, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation of a fire that heavily damaged an apartment complex in south Regina over the weekend has concluded.

Police in Allen Park are asking for help with finding the family of a young girl they found. The child is safe and in the care of officers Monday evening.

Regina Fire and Protective Services said Monday that a cigarette butt caused the fire. The butt was discarded into an improper container which smoldered, causing a fire which snaked up the side of the building, eventually engulfing two properties.

“[Abbott and Paxton] cannot change Texas law nor usurp the constitutional rights of Texas families,” one advocate said.

Regina Battery Depot has officially reopened in a new location with a new name after a fire in November.

Cambridge Police Department arrested two individuals on Wednesday for child abuse charges from a June 2023 investigation.

A late night fire in south Regina led to pandemonium at an apartment complex not far from the University of Regina.
