This is a barrier island. it is especially vulnerable because of the storm surge in irma that were talking about. and you can just see residents are here are taking the storm very seriously. theyve been standing in line all day to get these sandbags, loading them up on to their cars, ten per resident to protect their homes. this place opened at 7 in the morning and i just went around the block and the line is still incredibly long. weve seen this kind of activity for the past couple of hours now...
