Kremlin sources named Darya Duginas killer as Natalia Vovk, who apparently sneaked into Russia from Ukraine - bringing her 12-year-old daughter with her - and tracked her victim.

The young woman was to be deported from Russia to Belarus.

Russian authorities have accused “Ukrainian special services” of organizing the killing of Daria Dugina, a Russian journalist and the daughter of prominent ultra-nationalist philosopher Aleksandr Dugin.

According to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), the killer of Darya Dugina, the daughter of the Russian ideologist Alexander Dugin, escaped to Estonia through the Pskov region. The Police and Border Guard Board do not publish the data of border crossers based on accusations by the Russian special service.

The Investigative Committee of Russia does not rule out that other persons besides Natalia Vovk may be involved in the murder of journalist Daria Dugina.
