The county is applying for a $60 million federal grant and committing to provide the same amount locally through county debt financing for projects including a new Gayton Road interchange.
At its Aug. 8 meeting, the Henrico Board of Supervisors approved funding for two environmental projects. The board approved a contract to lease the rooftop of the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, at 1440 North Laburnum Ave, to Sun Tribe Solar for a solar array. The panels and all equipment will be owned by Sun Tribe.
