The incident took place Saturday in the state of Jharkhand. The one and a half-year-old girl s father was angry because his daughter would not stop crying, local media reports said. The accused, identified as 40-year-old Gautam, then threw the child on the ground and strangled her to death.  The child s mother was at the scene when the incident took place. Seeing her baby being strangled, she began shouting due to which the neighbors gathered at the residence. People then caught Gautam and beat him up. The police was later called to the scene and the accused was taken into custody, India TV news reported.

The incident took place Monday in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. The accused, identified by his first name Ashish, allegedly lost his temper when his sister said she would not cook food for the canines, local reports said. Ashish then pulled out his pistol and shot his sister in a fit of rage.  The woman, who was shot in the chest, was declared dead at the scene.

Father Stabs 18-Month-Old Baby In Fit Of Rage, Child Hospitalized An 18-month-old baby in Malaysia was stabbed by her father in the stomach Saturday.  After receiving a distress call about the incident, the police launched an investigation and arrested the 27-year-old father. They also seized a bread knife believed to be the weapon used to stab the child.  Our personnel at Bukit Puchong police station received a distress call that a man ran amok and stabbed his daughter in the stomach at a flat at Puchong Permai, senior police officer Abd Othman told the Star News.  The complainant also called for an ambulance from the Serdang Hospital to attend to the toddler s injuries.
