Was steve bannon is coming out. i was like "really?" i have worked for a number of elected officials. one of the first rules i learned was you never become a distraction for your boss. steve bannon was nothing but a major distraction for donald trump. there was questions about, is donald trump racist because steve bannon works for him? is donald trump as smart as he says he is because steve bannon is pretty much the puppet master. all these questions came up and he should have been kicked out of...

>> the puppet master and even as the brain behind trump. steve bannon is out as white house chief strategist. i want to thank steve bannon for his service. he came to the campaign during my run against crooked hillary clinton. it was great. thanks s. sources now tell cnn bannon believed he put the pieces in place to put -- downplayed concern about his eminent firing telling associates he would return to his quote, killing machine breitbart. late yesterday we learned he did just that. bannon tell...

And when you see that clip of him talking about his winery instead of talking about the tragedy -- he turned it right back to himself, i wonder what kind of trump he becomes without bannon. i mean, what tea leaves can you read for us? >> all we have to do is look at the first few months of his candidacy of president to understand what hes going to be like before bannon, as you guys have highlighted on the show, trump pushed conspiracy theories and demonized people of color and women and criticiz...

Kushner, youve got ivanka trump. youve got some people who are from goldman sachs, from new york, some people who supported democrats, although the president himself supported democrats. does he have a point there? that the presidency that some believe that the president that the president trump is going to bring, is now a thing of the past seven months in? >> i think its a point to pay attention to. keep in mind that few people have as solid an understanding of whats going on in the white house...

That bannon was seen as the puppet master and also in the last week or two he was increasingly upset that steve bannon was most likely the source of the leaks as we have seen in the american prospect article where he torpedoed trumps fire and fury posture against north korea and the infighting against mcmaster. with two alpha dogs you have one less alpha dog. you have donald trump who lets not forget takes two scoops of ice cream and everyone else gets one scoop of ice cream. but donald trump do...

Enemies often based on alternate facts, if you will, and in the era after bannon, trump is going to be the same. its important for viewers to understand that a lot of the narrative of bannon as a puppet master or a darth vader figure or the man behind the curtain was pushed enthusiastically by bannon himself. he spent time on the phone texting with reporters trying to persuade them that he was the power behind trump and the driving force when in fact he wasnt doing a huge amount for the last few...

Of staff, his own communications director, and so none of that is likely to change. what this does do is perhaps give john kelly, the new chief of staff, a bit more running room to really fill out a team and bring some order and discipline without having some vestiges left over who think they have unfettered access or in steve bannons access, sort of always sort of portrayed himself as somebody who was really puppet master of a lot of the government levers. >> how much will this help? im thinkin...

Part of this given what weve been talking about all week where bannon says we have to crush the white naggism, he calls it a collection of clowns. my question is why didnt they crush white nationalism when they had a chance on saturday. if presumably hes an al lie, why didnt they come out and say that on saturday when they had the chance and why didnt he say it the other day at trump tower? >> why isnt he celebrating what donald trump said this weekend and on monday. >> i think people give banno...

Why he cant make the case. he actually does not understand policy and therefore bannon is the only person that understand some sort of policy and therefore he is a puppet master. >> yeah but the ideas they agree on thing, donald trump for gooder ill doesnt have policy ideas. thats not who he is. anybody whos interviewed him and pressed him on policy issues during campaign knows this is not a person who thought about a lot of things. yes, hes making the decisions hes president, but steve bannon -...

Manipulator. >> bannon had a lot of influnsz. i dont think he was ever the puppet master he was portrayed as being. he was trumps idia log and pit bug. and it enraged trump, obviously because eventually it cost bannon a seat on the national security counsel. he got put in the dog house and didnt get out until a months ago. >> trump does not want to have anyone costarring along side him, particularly not someone seen as pulling trumps puppet strings. >> co starring, right, since he came to promin...
