Zach Edey and No. 1 Purdue dominated from the start at Maryland. Edey had 23 points and 12 rebounds, and the Boilermakers cruised past the Terrapins 67-53 on Tuesday night to snap their 19-game home winning streak. For a Purdue team that's trying to improve upon last season — when it was a No. 1 seed but lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Fairleigh Dickinson — this was another encouraging sign.

The No. 1-ranked Purdue Boilermakers improved to 13-1 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten Conference with a 67-53 win over Maryland.

Marcus Domask scored 32 points and had a team-high six assists to lead No. 9 Illinois to a 96-66 Big Ten win Tuesday night over Northwestern in the Illini’s second game without suspended star Terrance Shannon Jr. Justin Harmon had 20 points, Quincy Guerrier scored 14 and Coleman Hawkins had 13 for the Illini (11-2, 2-0), who never trailed, led by as many as 33 points, and shot 63% from the field. Guerrier also had 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.

Purdue picked up a 77-76 win on Tuesday night at Mackey Arena over Rutgers.

Company says settlement is to avoid protracted litigation

Purdue should be accustomed to playing highly ranked opponents by this point of the season. The top-ranked Boilermakers rolled through Tennessee, Gonzaga and Marquette in consecutive days to win the Maui Invitational when all three of them were among the top 11 teams in the country. Now, they will face ninth-ranked Illinois on Friday night in one of the early showdowns in Big Ten play.

South Carolina has eight total representatives in the Under Armour Game and All-American Bowl.

Michigan and Washington both won their semifinal games in dramatic fashions on New Years Day.

Following a 10-day break for the holidays the Purdue womens basketball team rolled to its largest Big Ten win since the 2016-17 season with an 89-50 win over Wisconsin on
