A tense situation prevailed in the Dhemaji district today after two people died and three were injured in firing by miscreants from Arunachal Pradesh. The incident took place at Panbari in the Dhemaji.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that some people from the neighbouring state engage in such activities ‘on account of their greed to occupy land’.
