DOHA, Qatar – Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the State of Qatar, has announced a three-year sponsorship of Team Qatar Airways and Official Airline Sponsor to the Beach Polo Cup Dubai, commencing 2016 through to 2018.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheik Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum for a second consecutive year, the Beach Polo Cup Dubai will take place 1-2 April and brings together polo enthusiasts from around the world, together with a host of celebrities who all come to participate in this exciting spectacle.
Qatar Airways passengers on board flight QR279 from Doha to St. Petersburg were treated to an exclusive surprise performance by members of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, who were traveling to Russia for a unique concert in St. Petersburg, in celebration of the Qatar-Russia 2018 Year of Culture.
Members of the orchestra, equipped with trumpets, trombones, tubas and horns, delighted passengers on board the aircraft with a live performance of Qatar Airways’ original boarding music composed by local Qatari musician and songwriter, Dana Al Fardan.
