Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr Botsalano Mosimakoko, has declared her organisation 'ready' to "provide for and maintain the National Credit and Qualifications Framework (NCQF) and to coordinate the education, training and skills development quality assurance system, from early childhood to tertiary level (lifelong learning)".

On Thursday 21st October 2021, the plenary session of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) removed Botswana from its list of jurisdictions "under increased monitoring". This is a list of countries that have committed to getting their house in order and putting severe measures in place to combat and lid any money laundering and terrorism financing risks, threats, and activity that might be residing in their jurisdictions.
