MIT researchers developed a superconducting qubit architecture that can perform operations between qubits with much higher accuracy than scientists have yet been able to achieve. Utilizing a superconducting qubit called fluxonium, the architecture is scalable and could be used to build a large-scale quantum computer.

A set of 16 qubits has been arranged so that they may be able to run any calculation error-free – a crucial step toward building quantum computers that can outpace traditional ones
