New device for scaling up quantum computers Australian scientists have developed a new cryogenic computer system called Gooseberry which has potential for scaling up quantum computers from dozens to thousands of qubits.     Quantum computing – as opposed to traditional (or "classical") computing – has been around for many years now. This area of computer science involves the exploitation of physical phenomena such as superposition and entanglement to perform calculations. Unlike the "bit...

Noise limits the performance of modern quantum technologies. However, particles traveling in a superposition of paths can bypass noise in communication....

Quantum Genomics (Euronext Growth - FR0011648971 - ALQGC), a biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development of a new class of drugs that directly targets the brain to treat difficult- to-treat/resistant

A group of scientists has invented what they describe as the equivalent of body armour for extremely fragile quantum systems, which will make them robust enough to be used as the basis for a new generation of low-energy electronics.

Scientists Are Inching Closer to Figuring Out How Heavy Dark Matter Really Is TOM METCALFE, LIVESCIENCE 5 FEBRUARY 2021 Scientists are finally figuring out how much dark matter – the almost imperceptible material said to tug on everything, yet emit no light – really weighs. The new estimate helps pin down how heavy its particles could be – with implications for what the mysterious stuff actually is.   The research sharply narrows the potential mass of dark matter particles, from betw...
