A Dr. Martens shoe showed the design of a woman bearing the scars from a gender transition "top surgery" as part of the brand’s "DIY Docs" feature. 

Dr. Martens is facing boycott calls from transphobes who are raging because a queer artist customised a one-off pair celebrating top scars.

Though the shoes are not available for sale, some right-wing social media users still voiced their anger.

The show brand Dr. Martens promoted a “DIY design" of their shoe featuring an image of a woman with scars following “top surgery" to remove breast tissue.

The candy brand has created an exhibition in partnership with Gay Times, Getty Images and Queer Britain.
