The new ShopUW+ system goes live this coming Friday, April 16. Make sure you’re prepared!
Training for using ShopUW+ started April 5, including the Preparing for ShopUW+ video on the ShopUW+ Essentials website. All training courses will be available by April 14. Training is delivered through Canvas with video tutorials. The Quick Reference Guide provides steps for completing over 50 processes. Users can access these resources from ShopUW+ Essentials or Canvas at uws.instructure.com.
Users who have not been pre-enrolled in ShopUW+ training can self-enroll in courses by going to the ShopUW+ Essentials Getting Started page.

ADHD After High School
Like many parents, I assumed that my son would go directly to college after high school graduation. We found out the hard way that he was not ready to live on his own or complete college work independently.
Our son struggled with ADHD in high school, and he struggled with ADHD in college. My late husband and I worried about his future would he get a job and leave home?

Generators of hazardous waste have long understood the importance of emergency preparedness and prevention to regulatory compliance and facility safety. Contingency planning and coordination with emergency service providers have been requirements of RCRA regulations for many years. For states that have adopted the Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule (HWGIR), however, new and more stringent requirements for emergency preparedness and prevention now apply. These states include Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, as well as 28 other states. All authorized states are required to adopt most aspects of the HWGIR, including those aspects discussed below, but many have not yet done so.
