Operatives of the Joint Task Force (JTF) in the Niger Delta, have arrested 10 suspected kidnappers who abducted a corps member, Navy officer and nine students.

At least six policemen were injured after unknown attackers attacked them in Township area of Pakistan's Bannu city on Tuesday.

John Okeke, the commander of the joint military force deployed to the Niger Delta, says troops have rescued the students abducted along the east-west road in the Ughelli area of Delta state.

Rear Admiral John Okeke, Commander of the joint military force in the Niger Delta, told the News Agency of Nigeria.

Mr Okeke said that 10 suspected kidnappers were arrested in the rescue of the victims.
