Michigan lawmakers have finished this year's scheduled legislative sessions without reaching agreement on a spending package that would have totaled almost $500 million.
The 101st Legislature came to an unceremonious end on Wednesday after a potential deal between Republican leaders in the Legislature and Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer on a spending plan and tax cut went up in smoke.
