Perth radio ratings: 96FM jumps in breakfast despite Fred Bottica mid-survey departure

The sudden change up of its breakfast talent in the middle of GfK’s second radio ratings survey did not negatively impact ARN’s 96FM, which has gained 1.5 points to land on a 10.4% share.

96FM landed on a 10.7% overall share, an increase of 0.9 points from the previous survey.
Leading the charge in breakfast was Nova 93.7 which slipped by 0.3 points to hold a 14.9% share. Nova held steady in the second survey of the year, also keeping its lead in drive on 15.2% and overall with a 13.3% share.

The second round of Melbourne radio ratings for the year delivered few surprises and even less movement, as the market appears to be settling following a tumultuous 2020.
Nine Radio’s 3AW remained the #1 station overall, rising 0.6 percentage points to 16.9%. Among the FM contenders, Gold FM is still top dog with an 11.3% share overall among People 10+.
The station with the most to celebrate in this book is Nova 100, with the Nova Entertainment station rising 0.8 percentage points overall to hit 7.1%, making it third among FM stations.
Meanwhile, Chrissie, Sam and Browny hit a 7.9% share (up 1.1 percentage points), now only behind Christian O’Connell on FM, and fourth overall.

AM Best Comments on the Credit Ratings of GuideOne Insurance Companies’ Members Following Reorganization Announcement

AM Best has commented that the Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of A- (Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating (Long-Term ICR) of “a-” of GuideOne Mutual Insurance Company (West Des Moines, IA) and its wholly owned subsidiaries, collectively referred to as GuideOne Insurance Companies (GuideOne), are unchanged by the announced reorganization of its corporate structure to a mutual holding company, effective April 1, 2021. Melbourne Radio Ratings: Talk stations dip as Gold dominates FM

The Melbourne radio market appears to be returning to a state closer to that of pre-COVID listening, as AM talk stations lost share following a year where they took full advantage of Melbourne’s greater appetite for news content.
Nine Radio’s 3AW remains easily the #1 offering in Melbourne overall, but lost 3.3 percentage points in survey one of 2021 to finish with a 16.3% share of listening. ABC Melbourne also dipped to 6.7% (negative two points) in the overall ratings.
The move from talk to music was also reflected on 3AW’s #1 breakfast show with Ross Stevenson and Russell Howcroft, who lost share for the second successive survey. They still hold an impressive 22.2% share (-2.8 points).
Perth Radio Ratings: Nova still #1 but rebranded Mix 94.5 makes strong start

Despite a significant shakeup to the Perth radio market in 2021, it was business as usual at the top, as typically dominant Nova 93.7 retained its crown both overall and on breakfast.
The first GfK survey for 2021 saw the station lose 0.7 percentage points to 13.6%, and Nathan, Nat and Shaun drop -0.5 points to start the year with a 14% share. Both results were easily enough to remain #1 however, despite a strong kick off from Southern Cross Austereo’s Mix 94.5
Following SCA’s decision to move Mix 94.5 into the Hit Network to accommodate the launch of Triple M Perth, the station rose to a 12.6% share of listening, gaining 0.6 points.
