Man (30s) hospitalised after stabbing in Co. Kildare 10:55 Thursday, 08 April 2021 Share it A man has been hospitalised after being stabbed in county Kildare. The victim in his 30s was found with stab wounds on Thomas Street in Newbridge at around 7.30pm last night. He was taken to St James’ Hospital in Dublin where his condition is believed to be serious, but stable. Shortly after the incident another man, also in his 30s was arrested in the Newbridge area, and has been taken to Newbridge Garda Station. The scene was preserved for examinations this morning. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area, around the time it happened at asked to contact Gardaí

Sales of electric cars did improve slightly, with 980 driven out of show rooms in the first few weeks of the year. Used car imports saw a 3 per cent rise in January when compared with the same month last year. Diesel remains Ireland’s most popular engine type, accounting for close to 36 per cent of sales, followed by petrol with almost 35 per cent.
