The government of Gujarat has announced a relief package of Rs 240 crore for farmers who had to bear the brunt of Cyclone Biparjoy in Kutch and Banaskantha districts last month. The relief-cum-assistance package is aimed at compensating farmers for damages related to standing crops, plants, and trees spread across 1.30 lakh hectares in Kutch and Banaskantha alone.
